Sending Information and Graphics
Sending Information
Please, give us the most accurate information from the start. Please supply high quality, high resolution logos for your advertisement. Tell us exactly what you want your image to look like, draw a sketch if need be and we will do our best to design what you want on the first try! Sending Text
Easiest: Simply type and send your information in a regular E-mail message:

To Copy and Paste Text From an Existing Document into an E-mail:
- OPEN THE DOCUMENT (launch the program that your text file was created in then choose FILE>OPEN and locate and highlight your file, then click OK or OPEN)
- SELECT THE TEXT (click and drag your curser over the text, or choose SELECT ALL from the EDIT menu.
- COPY (choose COPY from the EDIT menu)
- OPEN E-MAIL PROGRAM (switch to or launch your E-mail program if it is not already open)
- COMPOSE A NEW E-MAIL (choose NEW, NEW LETTER, WRITE LETTER or COMPOSE MAIL)
- PASTE (click in the body section of the E-mail and choose EDIT>PASTE; the text you copied should now appear in the E-mail)
- ADDRESS (address the Email: info@businessbuildersad.com, fill in an appropriate subject referring to your company name or project)
- SEND Click SEND or SUBMIT
E-mailing an Attachment File (Text, Photo or Graphic)
To attach a file to an E-mail:
- OPEN E-MAIL PROGRAM (launch or switch to your E-mail program)
- COMPOSE E-MAIL (choose NEW, NEW LETTER, WRITE LETTER or COMPOSE MAIL)
- ADDRESS - Address the Email: info@businessbuildersad.com, fill in an appropriate subject referring to your company name or project)
- ATTACH - ATTACH FILE (this is usually a button located on the E-mail letter itself and will open a directory window or it might show up as a menu option like FILE>ATTACH FLIE depending on what program you are using).
- SELECT THE FILE (Locate and select the file in the directory window that appears by choosing: it's disc location, folder and file name, highlight and click ATTACH or SELECT or OK.
- SEND - Click SEND or SUBMIT.
Caution: some E-mail boxes have restrictions on file size transfer (usually 5 Megs or 5,000K). If you have problems sending a file call: (540) 587-4056 for assistance.
Sending Fonts
Sending fonts from a PC
- Open your "C:" drive
- Open the "Windows" folder (Windows or Winnt)
- Open the "Fonts" folder in a reduced size, so you may see your Desktop.
- Find the font or fonts you need to send. Do not remove the fonts from this folder! If you do by accident, simply drag them back. Select the fonts while holding down the "CTRL" key on your keyboard, which will highlight them, and drag them to the desktop while holding down the "CTRL" key. You may also choose "edit" and "copy" the fonts, browse back to the desktop and "edit", "paste" them to the desktop.
- Put the fonts on a disk to mail or attach them to an E-mail (see above).
Sending fonts from a Mac
- Open your system folder
- Open your Fonts folder
- Find the True Type or Postscript font(s) and COPY (do not remove them) them to a New Folder. Find the Suitcase with the screen fonts and copy this to the same folder.
- Put the fonts on a disk to mail or attach them to an E-mail (see above).
Ship It
Once you have all of your text and information, photos, sketches and/or illustrations together send them to Business Builders. Be sure to include information on exactly what project it is for. Package items carefully in sturdy cardboard, so they can not be damaged in shipping. Use a reputable carrier who can track your shipment and ensure its arrival at its destination. When text, photos and/or images images are too big to E-mail they can be burned onto a CD and shipped (be sure to mark your job name on the disc and never sent us your original). Be sure they are in an acceptable file format and recorded on acceptable media. See: File Format and Specifications.
Don't:
- Tape, staple or write over artwork or photos.
- Bend photos or artwork.
- Scratch photos or artwork with paper clips.
- Send photos with copy printed over them unless it is a Camera Ready Ad.
- Assume we have the specific pieces of art for your ad, that is your responsibility.
